The academic year in British universities begins in September or October, and runs till June or July. The major intake of students happens in the month of September.

Apply to the university with all the relevant documents.
On receiving the acceptance letter, get the visa documents in order and apply for a student visa.
Once the visa has been approved, make final arrangements for travel and accommodation.
Students are allowed to work up to 20 hours per week during the course of the academic term. They can extend this to 40 hours per week when the college is on vacation. The spouses of students who have enrolled in Masters Programs get full time work permits.
Some universities partner with industries and offer students internships and hands-on training as part of their course curriculum. The United Kingdom does have some restrictions on post-study work permits. However, if students are able to secure a job with a salary offer of at least 20,600 GBP, they are eligible to apply for a work permit, providing all other criteria are met.
